Work Detail

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office Work Detail Division is a collaborative effort between the Sheriff’s Office and community. Deputies take crews of inmates and/or individuals sanctioned to the program into the community to assist with nonprofit projects, highway trash pickup, and overall charitable civic involvement. Participants not only benefit from the possibility of reduced time to their sentences to jail, but they oftentimes gain skillsets that will benefit them upon their release from custody, in an effort to reduce recidivism. The Work Detail Division also saves countless taxpayer dollars by assisting in various projects at municipalities, whether that be construction, landscaping, or simply assisting in cleanup. Other agencies utilize this division having them provide extra manpower to achieve the goals set forth by their agency. The division as a whole is a valuable asset to not only the Benton County Sheriff’s Office, but to the community of Benton County overall.
