Part Time II Division

The Benton County Sheriff’s Office maintains a Reserve Division which is composed of nearly 50 dedicated individuals from all occupations and walks of life who dedicate a portion of their time to community service. They are highly trained, fully certified law enforcement officers who train annually to maintain all required certification and proficiency skills.

The Benton County Reserve Deputies, just like full-time deputies, are required to perform many duties, including but not limited to: field patrol, arrest and control of suspects, traffic enforcement and crime scene security. Reserve Deputies primarily support and supplement the Patrol Division; however, they are also assigned to other divisions serving as SWAT medics, helicopter pilots, divers, instructors and CID deputies.

Members of the Sheriffs’ Office Reserve Division are required to perform 16 hours of service each month service and attend Reserve Division meetings which are generally held one night bimonthly. Uniforms and equipment are furnished to Division personnel.
