K-9 Unit

The K-9 Division of the Benton County Sheriff’s Office includes four patrol canines, one jail canine, and one search and rescue bloodhound. The four patrol canines are certified in drug detection and criminal apprehension. The jail canine, specialized in drug detection, focuses on controlling contraband within the jail. The unit’s newest member, a bloodhound, specializes in tracking for lost children and missing adults. Beyond their patrol functions, the K-9 Unit actively participates in various community demonstrations and events.
