Criminal Investigations Division

The Criminal Investigations Division (CID) comprises detectives assigned to various units, including General Investigations, Cyber Crimes Investigations, Sex Offender Registry Investigations, and Narcotics Investigations. CID is dedicated to achieving positive resolutions in all investigated cases, ranging from crimes against people and property to cybercrimes, sex offenses, and narcotics-related incidents. CID personnel undergo continuous, intensive training in areas such as Crime Scene Investigations, Interview Techniques, Computer Forensics, Internet Crimes against Children, and Polygraph.

These detectives employ cutting-edge technology, including high-tech computer forensics, evidence collection tools, and surveillance equipment, to proactively combat crime. CID, situated in Benton County and Northwest Arkansas, benefits from a state-of-the-art evidence building, facilitating the processing of items like ATVs, vehicles, and boats.

Narcotics Detectives, part of CID, specialize in planning and executing covert and overt drug-related enforcement operations. Their training includes detecting illicit drug trafficking organizations through undercover infiltration and advanced techniques. Utilizing the latest intelligence methods, all detectives within CID work to bring criminals to justice.
